Caves and trails around Miroglio
The Grotte del Caudano are located in the Miroglio district. They consist of four levels arranged one above the other; the interconnected horizontal passages have a combined total length of more than 3 km. The total length of more than 3 km provides a specific reference point for planning a cave visit. Depending on the season, the cave can be visited at different times; reservations are required. The Grotte del Caudano were discovered in 1898 during work on Miroglio's power station. When planning a visit, the seasonally varying visiting hours and the required reservation must therefore be taken into account before the appointment.
The Sentiero dell'Acqua begins at the Grotte del Caudano and leads to Miroglio. After passing through the hamlet, it runs through extensive chestnut forests and then returns to the Grotte del Caudano. For route planning, the start at the cave, the path to Miroglio, the hamlet, the chestnut forests and the return to the cave can be considered as successive points. This allows nature enthusiasts to plan the route based on its starting point and return at the cave.
