Tamburello remains a local sporting tradition that involves players and spectators alike. The Trattorata takes place on the last Sunday in July in Parco dell'Allea and includes an exhibition of historic tractors as well as ploughing demonstrations. The traditional Fiera Patronale di San Pietro takes place on the first Sunday in July. On Christmas Eve, Capriata d'Orba is known for a lively nativity play in which around 200 costumed participants portray traditional occupations, many of which have since disappeared. Those looking for another sporting experience can visit the La Marchesa golf course of Golf Club Villa Carolina, an area covering more than 110 hectares.

Sassaia offers wine tastings in Capriata d'Orba in its tasting room or in the vineyard; tastings must be booked by email. The Festa delle lasagne con stubiaroi is associated with Capriata d'Orba and takes place at the end of June.
