Santo Stefano Ticino combines impressive cultural attractions with Parco del Gelso, whose agricultural landscape is largely flat. Culture between Church, Art and History

The Chiesa Santo Stefano Protomartire was completed in 1907. Its interior is divided into three naves with ten columns and adopts a not entirely pure Neoclassical style. South of the town, the Chiesa di Santa Maria alla Barera was built in 1957 near Cascina Barera. It lies on the border with Magenta and Marcallo con Casone. The church is largely abandoned and currently requires careful restoration work.

Parco del Gelso and Paths through the Landscape

Parco del Gelso also encompasses Santo Stefano Ticino. It preserves a largely flat agricultural landscape with a well-maintained irrigation system that is still in use. This includes irrigation channels fed by the Villoresi and numerous fontanili. An important network of historic, tree-lined roads connects numerous rural farmsteads there. Circular Route, Cycling and Local Events

The Santo Stefano Ticino–Corbetta circular route begins and ends at Stazione FS Santo Stefano Ticino - Corbetta and is 18 kilometres long. You can complete it on foot or by bicycle. For Thursday, 28 May, a night-time walk was also announced under the title »Vedere le “Lucciole” Vidè i lusirò«, offering the chance to observe fireflies during their mating season. The Festa dell’Agricoltura features food and drink offerings.
