Castello Borromeo: fortified farmstead with a history

Castello Borromeo is an ancient fortified farmstead built by Vitaliano I. Borromeo in the 15th century. In the late 16th century, Renato Borromeo restored the building, giving it its present appearance. The current appearance therefore belongs to a later phase of the building, while its designation as a fortified farmstead refers to its earlier origins.

Chiesa SS. Cosma e Damiano

Chiesa SS. Cosma e Damiano has been documented since the 13th century among the churches dependent on the Pieve di Mezzate. It was founded on 25 April 1602. The entrance is accessible to people with disabilities. Alongside the castle, the church is therefore one of the historical and sacred points of reference in Peschiera Borromeo.
