It probably dates from the second half of the 16th century. The Castello di Padenghe castle and the Museo Civico Archeologico della Valtenesi are also located in the area around Moniga del Garda. On the route from Moniga del Garda to Soiano del Lago, the road becomes unpaved after 1.44 km. The route passes through a rural setting with meadows, rows of vines and olive groves. In the forests of the Moniga del Garda area farther from the lake, downy oaks, hornbeams, lime trees, maples and hazelnut trees grow. The two routes and the woodland landscape thus provide different perspectives on the surroundings: one with precise route details, the other with the changing pattern of agricultural areas and stands of trees.

There are paid and free parking spaces nearby at Spiaggia Porto Moniga, as well as toilets and showers. Moniga del Garda can be reached from Salò or Desenzano del Garda via Strada Statale 572 and is also accessible by bus.
