Coast and paths for different kinds of holidays

Marina di Andora combines a broad coastal landscape with paths, marina facilities, sports and culture. The free beaches extend along the entire coast of Andora. In the "ex Colonia d'Asti" area, the free beach offers an 80-metre-long waterfront section.

The Pista Ciclopedonale begins at the railway station and extends along the Riviera di Ponente. The walking and cycling path provides direct access to the seafront promenade and beaches, is level, and is used for cycling, jogging and relaxing walks. The Passeggiata di Levante is also known as Passeggiata Quaglia and is a seafront walkway offering scenic walks between the sea and nature.

Sports between the beach and the sea

Near the beach is the Area Beach Volley, an outdoor sports facility for beach volleyball and summer sports activities. The courts are also used for casual games; organised sporting events are held there as well, particularly during the summer season.

On the water, Andora Match Race is an FIV sailing school where you can learn the basics of sailing on cabin boats and wing foiling. The organisation also offers guided e-bike tours for everyone, accompanied by a qualified guide. Since 2011, the "Vela Senza Barriere" project has enabled people with disabilities to go sailing on specially equipped boats.

Wetlands, birds and nature excursions

The Oasi del Merula is a protected wetland in the estuary of the Torrente Merula within the municipality of Andora. Numerous breeding and migratory bird species, as well as amphibians and fish, live in the reed beds. The Oasi is particularly suitable for birdwatching in autumn and spring: many migratory birds stop there and can often be seen with the naked eye.

The Centro di Educazione Ambientale in the marina area of Andora promotes responsible tourism and nature excursions on land and water.

The marina and culture as further local highlights

The Porto di Andora is a modern municipal marina east of Andora's built-up area and is easily accessible both by land and by sea. It has around 850 berths for boats ranging from 4 to 20 metres in length. The marina also caters to people without their own boat; its facilities include a solarium, a viewpoint, water sports, whale watching and a fish market.

Palazzo Tagliaferro is a centrally located cultural centre with exhibition, museum and information areas dedicated to culture, art and the local area. The Museo Mineralogico "Luciano Dabroi" displays minerals as well as scientifically and educationally interesting specimens. The Contemporary Culture Center – Galleria Civica is dedicated to contemporary art and temporary exhibitions.
