Art and historic villas

The GAM, Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Genova, is housed in the 16th-century Villa Saluzzo Serra, an aristocratic residence in the Parchi di Nervi overlooking the sea. The Raccolte Frugone are located in Villa Grimaldi Fassio. Lazzaro and Luigi Frugone donated their collections to the city of Genoa in 1935 and 1953 respectively. From the outset, Villa Luxoro was conceived as a house museum and was built in 1903 according to a design by Pietro Luxoro in the Capolungo area of the Parchi di Nervi. Trains and buses in Nervi

Genova Nervi railway station is served by direct trains to and from Sestri Levante and La Spezia, as well as by regional trains between Genova Voltri and Genova Nervi. AMT bus lines 15, 17 and 517 connect the centre of Genoa with the Nervi area; line 517 continues to Capolungo.
