Church, archaeology and history

In addition to sea and rocks, Palinuro offers cultural points of interest. The Chiesa San Nicola di Mira dates approximately from the beginning of the 17th century and is designed in the Baroque style. Inside, there are frescoes and altars from the 18th and 19th centuries. The church was reopened for worship in 2014. Those interested in ecclesiastical architecture and historic furnishings can include this place in their trip planning.

The Antiquarium Palinuro houses some of the finds recovered during excavations in the surrounding area. The medieval village of San Severino di Centola is also nearby; its origins are dated to the 10th to 11th century.
