The Riserva Naturale Biogenetica Stornara e Marinella is home to an Aleppo pine forest (Pinus halepensis) on sandy dune backsoil. Typical Mediterranean maquis shrubs grow in the undergrowth; the habitat is protected under the EU Habitats Directive.
