The Franciscan Monastery of Madonna della Visitazione was built in several construction phases from 1587 to 1597. Its 16th-century cloister has a quadriporticus. The monastery church also contains an 18th-century organ, considered one of the few examples of local organ-building craftsmanship. The Cappella della Madonna del Latte, generally known as La Cona, was built at the end of the 16th century. After its construction, it became a stopping place for travellers who paused there out of devotion to pray to the Madonna. The Church of Santa Filomena, formerly San Giovanni Battista, is the oldest chapel in Salice Salentino. The religious celebration in Salice Salentino is dedicated to Madonna della Visitazione.

The remains of the Casa del Re can be found in the countryside around Salice Salentino. They are considered the remnants of a former residence of the court of Raimondello Orsini del Balzo and his wife Maria d’Enghien. Salento in Miniatura is a 5,000 m² theme park that recreates characteristic places and architectural monuments of Salento at a scale of 1:35. SaliComix offers another perspective: a recurring festival in Salice Salentino dedicated to comics, fantasy literature, illustration and pop culture.
