Parish Church and Local History

The parish church of Mariotto is dedicated to the Beata Vergine Addolorata and was inaugurated in 1902 based on a design by the architect Luigi Sylos. The 98 kilometres belong to the event and not to the approximately 25–30-kilometre cycling loop. For travelling by train, Bitonto was the starting point for the onward bus journey, not Mariotto. The date of 10 May 2026 links this longer route to a specific day.
