Nature
The administrative area of Őcsény contains nationally protected nature conservation areas that form part of the Duna-Dráva National Park. The oxbow lakes belonging to Őcsény, which were separated during the regulation of the Danube or formed naturally in earlier times, are part of the Gemenc Landscape Protection Area. Őcsény is also home to Gemenc Natura 2000 sites: the special protection area HUDD10003 and the site of community importance HUDD20032.
Bakta-hegy, a hill, lies in the vicinity of Őcsény. Görögszó, Széles Hegy and Bartina Hegy are also located near Őcsény; all three are hills.

Culture and history
The Reformed Church of Őcsény is protected as a national monument. The present late Baroque church was built in 1782–1783 on the site of an earlier building.
The “Első Magyar Hőlégballon-történeti Gyűjtemény” and its first exhibition opened at Őcsény Airfield on 29 September 2019. The site is also connected with the history of Hungarian aviation: the first modern Hungarian hot-air balloon, HA-001 Pannónia, made its first ascent in Őcsény on 3 November 1977.
The Őcsényi Tájház presents the lifestyle, domestic culture and agricultural equipment of the farmers of Őcsény who became wealthy after the regulation of the Danube, and houses ethnographic and agricultural collections. The municipality of Őcsény also highlights its locally unique costume, which is unparalleled internationally, as well as other local traditions.

The information boards along the Fekete gólya tanösvény explain the management of floodplain forests and game populations, as well as the black stork, the well-known bird of Gemenc. The Fekete gólya tanösvény in Őcsény starts at the Keselyűsi Fogadóépület.
