The nearest Hungarian railway connection is located southwest of Tiszabecs in Penyige; other Hungarian railway connections are more than 20 kilometres away.
Tiszabecs is located in eastern Hungary, on the eastern edge of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, on the Ukrainian border and on the left bank of the Tisza.
Main road 491 runs through Tiszabecs towards Ukraine, and bus connections link the village with Fehérgyarmat.
Culture
Tiszabecs has a documented medieval history: the settlement is mentioned in 1181 and referred to as castrum in 1364, indicating the presence of a royal castle.
A Rákóczi monument with a Turul stands between Tiszabecs and Tiszaújlak on the Hungarian-Ukrainian border.
Nature
The village is located on the edge of the Satu Mare Plain; on its western side, the Tisza forms the river landscape.
