An exhibition explores the general and Hungarian history of the Camaldolese Order. The complex is open Tuesday to Sunday: from 10:00 to 18:00 between 1 April and 31 October, and from 09:00 to 17:00 between 1 November and 31 March. Check the opening hours again before your visit.

Archaeological finds from the excavations at Brigetio are the focus of the interactive permanent exhibition at the Brigetio Öröksége Látogatóközpont. Another historical attraction is Monostori Erőd, a military monument in the Komárom fortress system. Exhibitions and staged scenes illustrate the eras of the Monarchy, the World Wars and the Soviet occupation. The fortress system, which spans the territories of both Komároms, is on the UNESCO World Heritage tentative list.

A guided visit to the Bábolna Nemzeti Ménesbirtok begins with the stud farm history exhibition and continues in the Ménesudvar. The offering also includes carriage rides to the nearby arboretum in two carriages drawn by Shagya Arabian mares; advance booking is required. The “Fogat bemutató, ménfelvezetés” programme features four-, five- and two-horse teams, which visitors can try out themselves. Advance booking is also required for this programme.

For a different way to explore the region, consider cycling: the route along the Által-ér provides a simple and safe connection between Tata, Vértesszőlős and Tatabánya.
