On the outskirts of Földes, the management of Hortobágyi National Park established the Bihari-sík Tanösvény nature trail. This trail can be reached on foot from Földes and leads to a nesting site of the strictly protected red-footed falcon.

The Bihari-sík Tanösvény includes a wetland system consisting of several smaller lakes, a shallowly flooded area of reeds and cattails, and a contiguous floodplain. The Földesi Madársuli demonstration is the main programme each year at the event organised by the Bihar Közalapítvány on the first weekend of October in Földes. The Szélrózsa Néptáncegyüttes ensemble performs at events at municipal, county, national and international level.
