Vineyards and Panoramic Views
Disznókő Winery is located in the municipality of Mezőzombor and covers 107 hectares of vineyards across an estate of around 150 hectares. These figures show just how much wine-growing shapes this part of the village, without reducing the landscape to a single feature. Wine tastings include a tour of the vineyards, winery and cellar, followed by a tasting in the historic cellar. Allow 1 to 1.5 hours. Check availability in advance.
The Filagória is a particularly distinctive viewpoint. This classical-style pavilion with four columns was built by the Lónyay family in the 18th century. From here, you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama across the vineyards. The viewpoint is easy to reach from the Disznókő Winery building in Mezőzombor and from the Sárga Borház car park. As access conditions may change, check them before your visit. The combination of a historic pavilion and expansive vineyard views makes the viewpoint a highlight in its own right when choosing what to do.
A Church with Several Construction Phases
The history of Mezőzombor’s Reformed Church includes destruction, reconstruction and rebuilding. In 1732, the former church was in ruins. A new building erected in 1806 burned down around 1823 and was restored in 1828–29. The Reformed Church built in 1911 was blown up by retreating German troops on 21 November 1944. The present building was constructed between 1948 and 1950. A 18-metre-high tower stands in front of its east façade. Those interested in architecture will find more than a single date here: it is a local building history with clearly distinct phases.

At the MiniaTour model railway exhibition, visitors can interact with the miniature world using push buttons and a joystick. The exhibition features more than 30 scenes, 40 push buttons and two joysticks. So it’s not just about looking around; trying things out is also central to the experience.
