Arnót can be explored through its cultural history and the birdlife in the surrounding area. The Wass Albert memorial was inaugurated on 20 August 2010 on the grounds opposite the building at Petőfi Sándor utca 130. Tájház, exhibitions and local traditions

A description from September 2024 mentions a retro exhibition and the Jelenkori Fotógyűjtemény at the tájház in Arnót. Old agricultural machines were displayed in the garden pavilion; the tájház also exhibited tools once used on village farms. In 2023, the Helyi Értékek Bemutatóterme exhibition room was opened on the tájház grounds. Together, these topics range from photography and a retro exhibition to rural agriculture.

Four values associated with Arnót were added to the county’s register of local values in 2024: borsodi lakodalmas fonott kalács, borsodi májuskosár, the European bee-eater, and the Lutheran church and its Rococo altar. The selection brings together wedding traditions, nature and sacred architecture. An event devoted to wedding culture on 9 November 2019 also offers a dated glimpse of local cultural activities: it featured the exhibition “Újmenyecske főkötők a Kárpát-medencéből”, with a collection from the Tobán Hagyományőrző Népművészeti Egyesület association in Szihalom, as well as a playhouse for children. A municipal walking-tour plan from 2023 listed the local tájház, the Lutheran church and Bénó horticulture as stops.

Birdlife in the surrounding area

Wild ducks and coots can be seen around the Kis-Sajó and Bánya tó; occasionally, swans, wild geese and black-headed gulls pass through. Diósgyőr Castle flourished during the reign of King Louis the Great in the 14th century and later served as a residence and wedding gift for six queens.
