Coming from Crawinkel, it passes through Frankenhain, Gräfenroda and Geraberg. The 12 kilometres refer to the section within the municipality, not to a route passing only through Geraberg. The difference is important when choosing a tour: the Climate Trail focuses on weather and climate, while the Forest Edge Route covers a section of the municipality that includes several named places.
Views and a place to rest in town
The hill called Die Buche, at the northern end of Geraberg, offers a view of the town and is easy to reach on foot. As a named viewpoint, it complements the themed hiking trails with a perspective on Geraberg itself.
Geraberg also has one of six covered seating areas where you can take a rest. It provides a clearly identified place to pause. The playground in Morbacher Park is suitable for small and younger children. Its facilities include a slide, a small climbing wall, swings and a sandbox.
