Klein Wittensee: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Klein Wittensee is located directly on the shore of Lake Wittensee and is one of the 21 municipalities in Hüttener Berge Nature Park. Lake Wittensee is up to 20 metres deep and was formed around 20,000 years ago by a tongue of a glacier. There is a barbecue area with toilets in the Sande area.

Activities
Hüttener Berge Nature Park has 20 circular hiking trails and six cycling routes, all of which are signposted. The skating route passes through Klein Wittensee on footpaths and cycle paths along the B 203. A signposted 15-kilometre mountain bike trail is also available in Brekendorf Forest.
There are five signposted cycling routes in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district, leading through natural areas as well as to cultural monuments, historic sites and other attractions. They run mainly along roads with little traffic. Outdoor fitness equipment has been installed at Lake Wittensee in the areas of Klein Wittensee, Groß Wittensee and Bünsdorf.
Food and Drink
The Glücksstück farm shop and bistro in Klein Wittensee sells meat from free-range pigs kept on straw, as well as other regionally produced food. Next to the bistro at Glücksstück Farm, there is a vending machine offering chilled barbecue meat and sausages.
Culture
The Dutch windmill from 1874 in Groß Wittensee regularly offers guided tours for visitors.
Water
The Sande bathing area on the western shore of Lake Wittensee is a spot for launching windsurfing boards when the wind is from the west.
