History

Nature and Trails
The Dosenmoor is a raised bog with peat deposits up to eight metres thick. It formed after the last Ice Age and was designated a nature reserve in the early 1980s. The bog provides a habitat for wild boar and greylag geese.
A circular trail runs around the Dosenmoor, while a single path crosses the bog.
Culture
The Church of the Holy Spirit in Bokhorst serves the residents of Großharrie. It hosts concerts, readings, church-cinema events, book presentations and community festivals.
Cycling Connections
The Vicelinweg cycling loop passes through Großharrie on its route back to Neumünster. In addition, a cycling connection approximately two kilometres long is planned along Tasdorfer Weg between Tasdorf and Großharrie.
