Lensahn: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

At the Museum Farm, rural history is brought to life by viewing, touching and trying out historic exhibits. Agricultural machinery dating from 1850 to 1960 is displayed in the machine hall and the field barn.

St. Catherine’s Church was built around 1250 and is the oldest surviving building in Lensahn. It contains a Gothic baptismal font, the Peter Bell from 1622, the Plague Window, the Levetzow Chapel from 1740 and a contemporary Eule organ.

The 18th-century vicarage in Lensahn was the childhood home of the writer Dr Julius Stinde. The “AL fresco” land art installation is also located at Petersdor Estate in Lensahn.

Nature and Activities

The Museum Farm includes a 2.4-kilometre nature trail leading to pond biotopes and the Garden of Hildegard of Bingen. OstseeFerienLand promotes walking routes around the Großer Mühlenteich in Lensahn. Visitors can explore Lensahn and its surroundings on horseback.

Water

Lensahn’s heated forest swimming pool lies between the Waldkurpark and the Mühlenteich. It features a 50-metre lane, a non-swimmer pool, a diving pool, a children’s paddling pool, a sunbathing lawn and a playground.

Lensahn can be reached directly from the A1 motorway via the Lensahn exit.
