Behlendorf: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Behlendorf is located in the Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park, directly on the 70-hectare Behlendorf Lake. The bathing area has parking spaces, a sunbathing lawn, toilets and a seasonal kiosk. Those who would like to rent a holiday apartment in Behlendorf can then continue searching for accommodation.

Nature

Behlendorf Lake is 15 metres deep at its deepest point. Stand-up paddleboards, rowing boats and other watercraft are prohibited on the lake and within the bathing area. The small island in Behlendorf Lake is a natural monument and may not be entered by visitors.

The seasonal Haus am See kiosk at the bathing area serves regional food and drinks.

Culture

Behlendorf Church is included in the open churches programme of the parish. This invites visitors to enter the church for quiet reflection and contemplation.

The nave was built from fieldstones in the 13th century. The church also has a Baroque altarpiece as well as glass and wall paintings. Some of the wall paintings date from the time the church was founded.

The village centre has restored houses, some of them with thatched roofs.

Activities

Behlendorf and its surroundings are suitable for cycling. Behlendorf Lake and the Elbe-Lübeck Canal are described as suitable for fishing.

The mobile Erlebnisroute Tour de Grass runs from Lübeck to Mölln along the Elbe-Lübeck Canal and includes Behlendorf. It offers stories and poems by Günter Grass, watercolour comparisons and augmented reality tasks.

On weekdays, bus route 8770 operates between Mölln and Lübeck and stops in Behlendorf at the Herrenstraße stop.
