Villagescape

History
The history of the village is documented in a record from 1209 concerning the holdings of Havelberg and also mentioning properties in Behrendorf. Another historical trace is the former station building of the Goldbeck–Werben narrow-gauge railway. The railway was in operation until 1971; the building has been preserved as a residential house in Behrendorf and represents a small part of the local railway heritage, visible in the landscape from the village.
