In Karlsbrunn, a former Baroque hunting lodge and the adjacent forest garden combine Baroque architecture, forestry history, garden art and nature. The 1.2-hectare garden was created in 2008 as part of the international “Gardens without Borders” project.

In the Warndt area around Großrosseln, hiking and cycling routes lead through woodland and meadow landscapes. The routes pass relics of mining history and sights such as the Warndt Pond, the hunting lodge and Karlsbrunn Forest Garden, Karlsbrunn Wildlife Park, Nikolaus Pond and the Velsen Mine.
