Otterberg has a Cistercian heritage that begins with the founding of Otterberg Abbey in 1145 and dates back to the 12th century. The former monastery complex included the abbey church, which is still preserved today. From this abbey church, a route towards the Waldhaus Am Himmelreich hut of the Palatinate Forest Association is described. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Otterberg can then continue searching for accommodation.
