Schutzbach: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture

Schutzbach is considered an old mining village. Ore mines were formerly operated on its southwestern slope, while an ironworks and a hammer mill stood along the Daadebach until around 1800. Tunnels, mines and spoil heaps remain as visible traces of this mining history. The elongated settlement lies in a side valley of the Daade Valley and features numerous half-timbered buildings.
