Geographical Location

Ruppichteroth is located in the Bergisches Land and is separated from the Sieg Valley by the Nutscheid. At the same time, Ruppichteroth is connected to the Bröl Valley, where the Bröl and Waldbrölbach rivers meet. At 360.6 meters above sea level, Gold-Berg is the highest elevation in Ruppichteroth. Ruppichteroth is located in the Rhein-Sieg District in southern North Rhine-Westphalia, about 30 kilometers east of Bonn and about 18 kilometers from the border with Rhineland-Palatinate.

The surrounding area of Ruppichteroth includes a disused quarry (above B 478) in the Bröl Valley, Blankenberg Castle, and the Southern Bastion. History

After Ruppichteroth was assigned to Prussia in 1815, the town became the seat of the Ruppichteroth municipal administration in 1816. The historic Uckerath District was dissolved in 1820 and incorporated into the Siegburg District.
