Coastal Trails and Landscapes
Explore the landscape by bike or on foot. The Fischland-Darß Route of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route passes through Wustrow along the cliff coast towards Ahrenshoop. Hiking trails also follow the cliff coast to Ahrenshoop, cross the dike to Dierhagen and run along the Bodden to Althäger Harbour. Other hikes lead to Born Am Darß and Wieck Am Darß. Cyclists follow the cliff coast; on foot, the dike and the Bodden offer different sections of the route.

Sailing, Zeesboote and Bodden Cruises
Several ways to experience the water come together at Wustrow Harbour. From May to October, visitors can take a trip on the Zeesboote “Butt” or “Bill”. Those who want to sail themselves can hire sturdy Rügenjollen there for half a day or a full day. The harbour is also home to the only sailing school on Fischland. It offers beginner and advanced courses for all age groups, as well as courses for recreational boat licences and VHF radio certificates.
A traditional shipping line also connects places around Saaler Bodden: the “MS Boddenkieker” travels between Ribnitz-Damgarten, Dierhagen and Wustrow, with up to three trips a day. Bodden cruises from Wustrow also offer opportunities to observe native seabird species and migratory birds in their habitat. Water-based experiences range from a trip on a Zeesboot and sailing activities to watching the birdlife.
Nature Experiences for Families
Fischländer Kurwald is in the Baltic seaside resort of Wustrow, right in front of the dike and close to the beach. Its accessible recreational activities promote health and medical prevention and are aimed at all age groups. Families with children can also explore the Kurwald’s legend trail, where they can discover figures and scan QR codes to access the stories.
Culture and Annual Events
Art is also part of what Wustrow has to offer visitors. Contemporary artists present changing exhibitions at Haus des Gastes and Fischlandhaus. The Wustrow Culture Trail runs along blue stones.
Two annual events are among the regular highlights: the Wustrow Zeesboot Regatta takes place on the first weekend in July. The Baltic seaside resort of Wustrow celebrates its Seebrückenfest on the last Sunday in August.
