History

Boldekow was first mentioned in documents in 1313 as Wendeschen Boldekow; the name Boldekow was first used in 1779. The village centre of Boldekow developed between 1739 and 1752 from an early Slavic settlement at a largely unchanged location.

Getting There

Boldekow is located on federal road B197. Anklam is approximately 17 kilometres north of Boldekow, while Neubrandenburg is approximately 31 kilometres to the southwest.

The A20 motorway can be reached via the Neubrandenburg-Nord junction, approximately 19 kilometres from Boldekow.
