Lehsen: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture
Lehsen’s documented cultural heritage includes a two-storey, nine-part Neoclassical manor house dating from 1822. Its portico is supported by four Doric columns, and there is a clock in the gable.
The Lehsen manor house ensemble is connected to an extensive landscaped park. The park contains old and rare trees, former estate buildings, ditches and a pond. The farmer and dendrologist Ludolf von Laffert operated tree nurseries in Lehsen.
In the wider regional surroundings of Lehsen lies Seedorf Castle. The Marsow fieldstone church is located near Lehsen. Also in the wider regional surroundings are the cultural heritage sites Franzosenschanze and Spitzbubenberg, as well as Kleiner Werder.
Großer Werder and Heidberg are also located near Lehsen. The Future Centre for Human-Nature-Technology-Science is also situated nearby.
The Elbetal-Schaalsee Cycle Route has the historic windmill in Wittenburg as one of its stops and is described as passing through a larger landscape comprising forests, meadows, fields, orchards and former inner-German border towns.
