The neo-Gothic village church in Picher was built between 1875 and 1880 to a cruciform plan. The architect and heritage conservationist Georg Daniel designed the building. The church also has a statue of the Virgin Mary, donated by a local sculptor.

The churchyard preserves its own places of remembrance: it contains the grave of Stanislaus Bartuk, a Jewish forced laborer who was murdered in 1943. North of the village church, the war memorial commemorates those who fell in the 1870–71 war as well as the victims of both world wars.
