On September 27, 2025, the SV Traktor Zachun sports club celebrated its 100th anniversary in Alt Zachun; the volunteer fire brigade marked its 90th anniversary at the same time. The fire brigade also held a firefighting competition with friendly fire brigades, which it had organized specifically for the occasion. These festivities were part of the celebration on September 27, 2025; in this respect, they differed in timing from the Nordic walking meetings, which take place by arrangement.

As part of the 2026 KunstOffen program, Filz & Friends in Alt Zachun presented handmade felt pieces and jewelry made from glass buttons.
