At Guderhandviertel 50, a farmhouse for retired farmers dating from 1587 has been preserved alongside a combined residential and farm building from the first half of the 17th century. It is the oldest known building in the Altes Land. The dates provide a clear timeframe for the two buildings on the property. Guderhandviertel is also a named type of dike-row settlement. Fruit Route and Elbe Cycle Route

The 37 km Fruit Route runs from Stade via Agathenburg, Horneburg, Guderhandviertel and Steinkirchen, across the Altes Land to the banks of the Elbe. A northern loop of the Fruit Route is also worth considering when choosing your route: it starts and ends in Grünendeich and runs via Hollern-Twielenfleth, the Hanseatic City of Stade, Agathenburg, Horneburg, Guderhandviertel and Steinkirchen, before returning to Grünendeich. This gives you two different route options: a ride from Stade to the banks of the Elbe and a loop returning to Grünendeich.

The Finkenwerder–Lühe section of the Elbe Cycle Route also passes through Guderhandviertel. It runs via Cranz, Königreich, Hove, Jork, Guderhandviertel, Mittelnkirchen and Steinkirchen to Lühe.
