The bronze sculpture “Seewiefken” by Karin Mennen is a symbol of local identity. It stands in Norderaltendeich, near Minsen-Förrien, is considered a landmark of Wangerland and also appears on the municipal coat of arms. In Horumersiel, the beach is a green beach with a soft lawn right on the North Sea, offering an alternative to a sandy beach. Water skiing and wakeboarding are available at the Hooksieler Skiterrassen. Culture and events
