Geographical Location

Hasselroth is a municipality in the Main-Kinzig district of Hesse.

To the north, Hasselroth borders Gründau and Gelnhausen, to the east Linsengericht, to the south Freigericht, to the southwest Rodenbach, and to the west Langenselbold.

History

Hasselroth was created in 1971 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Neuenhaßlau and Gondsroth; Niedermittlau was incorporated in 1974.
