The Wehrheim Circular Route by Bike
If you would rather plan a circular bike ride, you can follow the Wehrheim Circular Route, which goes all the way around Wehrheim. This gives you two different ways to get active: the Red Roebuck as a hiking trail with named natural and historical points of interest, and the circular route as a cycling option. Wehrheim Church serves as a place of worship and also as a cultural venue for concerts of various kinds. The next Wehrheim Apple Blossom Festival is scheduled for Sunday, May 2, 2027, at Ludwig-Bender-Bad. The pool is therefore a shared point of reference: the Red Roebuck starts here, and the festival is also held here. In the wider Hochtaunus destination, the Hessenpark Open-Air Museum is located in Neu-Anspach in the Hochtaunuskreis district. A family route shows children and adults together how people used to live, dwell and work. For travel to the museum, bus route 63 connects Wehrheim or Neu-Anspach/Anspach station with the Neu-Anspach/Anspach Hessenpark stop; check the timetable details before setting out. There are six e-bike charging stations directly at the museum. Visitors can also carry out minor repairs and maintenance themselves at a bicycle service station. As these facilities may change, it is advisable to check their current status before visiting.
The Saalburg Roman fort is also part of the wider Hochtaunus destination. Guided tours cover the interior of the fort, the outer civilian settlement and the Limes. The “extra muros” tour takes visitors through the settlement and the outer area, including the fort baths, inn, defensive earthworks and the Limes. These areas give a concrete impression of the different aspects of Roman history that may be the focus of a guided tour there.
