Allow around 6 kilometres for this trail; it starts and ends at the market square. The 25-kilometre Schlaubetal Hiking Trail also runs through the Schlaubetal from Müllrose to Lake Wirchen. The German Hiking Association has certified it as a quality hiking trail. Müllrose’s historic buildings include houses from various centuries. Built in 1689, the Ackerbürgerhaus is considered the oldest house in the town and is now a listed monument. The Bürgerhaus dates from 1696, was listed in the 1990s and subsequently underwent extensive restoration. The Protestant Church was first built as a hall church in 1275. A more recent landmark is the historic fire station with its wooden hose-drying tower, built in 1925.
The guild tree also makes a distinctive contribution to the townscape: it is 17.5 metres tall, was inaugurated in September 2017 and is considered the largest of its kind in Brandenburg. The local history museum’s permanent exhibitions feature numerous artefacts relating to Müllrose’s history, documenting it over the centuries. The museum is located in the Haus des Gastes, which also houses the Schlaubetal Information Centre.
