The “Steppe Flora in the Lebus Region” Natura Trail links four FFH sites of European importance: the Oderberge Lebus Nature Reserve, the Zeisigberg Nature Reserve, the Preister Gorge and the Oder slopes at Mallnow. The circular route is 36 kilometres long and is described as a cycling route. It starts at the car park for the Oderberge Lebus FFH site. Near Lebus, the route follows the Oder-Neiße Cycle Route as far as the Podelzig-Klessin turn-off. This gives you the route length, circular format and specific course of the Lebus section to take into account when planning; current conditions on the route may vary.
The castle hill offers a different perspective: Rather than a longer circular route, the focus here is on the expansive view along the river. The view of the Oder takes in the landscape beyond Lebus, reaching as far as Poland. Spring Blossoms and Discoveries in Mallnow

Town History in Lebus
Below the castle hill stands the parish church, regarded as a landmark of the lower town. It was rebuilt in 1806 and served as the town church until 1945. After being destroyed in the Second World War, it was rebuilt in its present size in 1954. This timeline also makes the church a place where you can trace different chapters of the town’s history.
