The Franconian Way passes through Elbersreuth and continues from the village in the direction of Köstenhof. The trail follows a field path over the hills and then into the forest; along the route, it offers expansive views.

Culture and History

Elbersreuth is home to the documented site of the former Wildenstein moated castle, which stood until the 18th century. The town’s historical development also includes former knightly estates. Their buildings and agricultural land were converted into hereditary fiefs, known locally as Schlossgüter.
