From there, the view extends over the village centre and the widening Wiesent Valley to Neideck Castle Ruin at the point where the valley narrows again.

The Rosenmüller Cave lies above Muggendorf and is a former show cave that is easy to walk through. It is closed from 1 October to 31 March to protect the bats.

Steam railway and mini-golf as further holiday ideas

You can board and leave the Franconian Switzerland Steam Railway in Muggendorf. Muggendorf Mini-Golf is an 18-hole course next to the town hall. During the summer months, it is considered playable daily in daylight.
