Two circular trails, two lengths
The Losauer Circular Trail is 4.5 kilometres long. It starts and ends at the Sparkasse car park. The route follows Unterer Mühlweg and Hopfenmühlleite to the fishponds and crosses the wooden bridge over the Regnitz. It then follows Trogenauer Weg, Lerchenweg, Hohenvierschau and Alte Hofer Straße to the Catholic Church. The return to the car park is via Gartenstraße and Steig. The sequence of stops gives the circular trail its distinctive character: bodies of water, a bridge and stretches of road are all part of it, as is the church.
The Kirchsteigweg is longer, at 9.3 kilometres, and also starts at and returns to the Sparkasse car park. Its route follows Hauptstraße, Schulstraße, Flurweg and Kirchsteig, passes the FKK grounds and water tower, and reaches Raitschin. Other stops include the group of five trees, Schöpferloh and Brauhausgasse. When planning, you can therefore compare the route lengths in particular: both circular trails share a start and finish, but differ in length and in the stops listed for each. Together with the ceiling paintings, the altar offers its own cultural focus, distinct from walking the circular trails.
Kolonnenweg and Galgenberg
Near Regnitzlosau, Kolonnenweg runs between Regnitzlosau and Nentschau, close to Ziegelhütte, passing directly by Galgenberg. Galgenberg is a nature reserve and a former execution site. Here, the landscape and history come together.
