History
The present-day municipality of Neuching was created on January 1, 1970, through the merger of the formerly independent municipalities of Oberneuching and Niederneuching.
A local noble estate is documented from 1379 through the 17th century; during this period, it held manorial rights in the area.
Historically, Oberneuching and Niederneuching were assigned to the Munich Rent Office and the Schwaben District Court of the Electorate of Bavaria, and each served as the seat of a local captaincy.
