The Krumbach Heritage Association offers town tours on a range of themes. If you would like to explore the town with a guide, you can choose a date that fits your travel plans. Check the accompanying brochure for the latest dates.
At nine locations and buildings, historical plaques featuring old photographs and information invite you to take a walk in the footsteps of the town’s history. The plaques were installed starting in February 2026. The photographs and information offer two different ways to experience the walk: a visual one and an explanatory one. The audio tour begins in Krumbach Town Park and offers another way to learn about the town.
The Kneipp Trail and Historic Sites
The redesigned Kneipp Trail offers the opportunity to experience the Kneipp philosophy with all your senses. This gives it a different focus from the historical plaques: here, the Kneipp philosophy takes centre stage, while the plaques invite you to explore the town’s history through old photographs and information. When planning your stay, you can use these different themes to help choose your activities.
The Jewish cemetery, with around 1,000 gravestones, is located in Krumbach’s Hürben district. Its historical significance makes it another place where the town’s history can be seen. At the heart of Krumbach stand St. Michael’s Parish Church and Krumbach Castle, built in 1530. Together, the church and castle shape the townscape; the date places the castle in its historical context, while the church is a landmark in its own right at the town centre.
