History

Guglöd was founded in the 17th century as the site of a glassworks. During the Thirty Years’ War, the glassworks was moved deep into the forest; later, some glassmakers settled in Guglöd.

The Bockkäfer circular trail around Guglöd is a very easy, family-friendly circular trail with a length of 3.2 km and a duration of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. It starts at the Guglöd car park at Guglöd 42.
