Hiking trails with different routes
The Hunding Goldgräbersteig is a circular hiking trail about 5 km long. It starts in the town center, passes the former gold mine, goes over Sondorfer Berg and through Sondorf, then returns to Hunding. The former gold mine provides a historical point of interest, while the named stops make the route easy to distinguish. At around five kilometers, it is the longest of the three routes described.
The Birkenödweg is about 3 km long and is also a circular hiking trail. From Hunding’s town center, it goes via Kieflitz and back to Hunding. Compared with the Goldgräbersteig, it is shorter and follows a different route. If you choose a hike based on approximate distance, these two loop trails offer different distances to consider.
Another hiking trail, about 2.5 km long, leads from the town center along Goldbergstraße and a sunken lane toward the mountain village of Langfurth.
