Hiking, Cycling and the Indoor Swimming Pool

Four hiking routes are suggested for Dietenhofen. Some of the routes start or end in Dietenhofen; check current trail conditions before setting off. The Europa Cycle Route offers another way to explore the outdoors: the Boulodrome in Dietenhofen is located directly on the route and offers walkers and cyclists a place to take a break. The hiking suggestions and the cycle route are different options for adding activity to your stay. Dietenhofen’s indoor swimming pool opened in 1972 and is suitable for the whole family—a different kind of activity from spending a day on a trail.

A Literary Trail in the Wider Ansbach Destination

The 2.2-kilometre circular trail around the town fortifications is fully accessible. Fifteen information boards feature authors from the Middle Ages to the present day whose works explore Franconia. The trail thus combines an outdoor route with literary context. It offers a different focus from Dietenhofen’s collections and historical landmarks and can provide an additional theme to consider when planning your trip.
