The Alternative Wolf and Bear Park is located on an almost 10-hectare site between the districts of Bad Rippoldsau and Schapbach. It provides bears, wolves and lynxes that were previously kept in unsuitable conditions with natural habitats.
Culture and History
The Wald-Kultur-Haus in Holzwald offers forest education courses for children, young people and adults. The courses cover the geology of the Wolftal valley, forest habitats and water ecology; historical forms of forest management are also presented.
The Klösterle site was founded around 1140 as a Benedictine priory. Pilgrimages to the Sorrowful Mother of Bad Rippoldsau have been documented since 1721.
