Aigueblanche: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Aigueblanche stands the simple neo-Gothic Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, with a floor plan in the shape of a Latin cross. It is one of the few churches in the Tarentaise that were not remodelled in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Culture

The Château of Aigueblanche is a former fortification dating from the late 13th century and stands in the centre of the village. The manor house of the Château of Aigueblanche that can be seen today appears to date from the late 15th century. The Château of Aigueblanche also includes a square tower.

Trails

The route “Les vignes et vergers sur les coteaux d’Aigueblanche” is a very easy two-hour circular walk. On the way back, it follows a greenway (voie verte) back to Aigueblanche.

The “Au Fil de L’Eau – B23” loop begins at the bridge of Aigueblanche and follows a well-maintained, flat path along the Isère. The loop features an interpretation trail focusing on the facilities at Morel.

Local Tradition

The restored walnut oil mill in Aigueblanche is running again and once more producing oil. It is included in a guided tour with a demonstration.
