One of the distinctive landmarks in Saint-Jean-des-Vignes is the Château de Pourrières, a fortified manor house with two square towers. Remains of earlier fortifications have been preserved below its east-facing entrance.
The Église Saint Anne also combines different architectural periods: it is a building of Romanesque origin, while its side chapel is authentically Gothic.

Landscape
The Statue de la Madone stands on the village’s highest hill and offers a remarkable viewpoint. The Madone can be reached via around one hundred steps on the Chemin du Mont Saint-Jean behind house number 119; the return journey also follows these steps. The botanical plantings at Espace Pierres Folles comprise a collection of 527 species. Fossilea also includes a landscaped four-hectare park with a path featuring, among other things, a prehistoric camp, animal sculptures and geological panels. The outdoor path leads to a geological fault that bears witness to the formation of the Alps.

The hiking route from Fossilea follows a ridge trail to the center of Saint-Jean-des-Vignes and offers views of the Saône Valley. The hike at Espace Pierres Folles begins and ends in Saint-Jean-des-Vignes; a duration of 2 hours is indicated for it.
