Villard-Reculas is located on the sunny terraces of the Grandes Rousses massif, between forests and alpine pastures, with views of the peaks of Oisans. The Boucle des lacs hike can be adapted with the help of mountain lifts and leads to five high-altitude lakes. The Sentier de la Croix trail passes through the picturesque lanes of the old village, over a schist ridge and through a coniferous forest to a plateau offering a special panorama of the Taillefer massif and the Prégentil rock face.

Culture

The Saint-Jean-Baptiste church in Villard-Reculas was rebuilt after a fire in 1757. The Canal des Sarrazins in Villard-Reculas is still operational today and is considered a local monument.
